Our St Nicholas Stewardship program has exceeded our expectations. As of December 31, 2009 we over 90% or our families have participated in the program by submitting their pledges. As a community we thank each other.
For the year 2009 - 138 families have pledge $59,625.00. To date these 138 families have contributed $54,985.77, leaving remainder of $4,639.23.
When the budget was being prepared last fall, no one believe we would be where we are today. Everyone thought we would receive approximately $40,000. As you can see the pledged amount has already exceeded this number and the amount already received is nearing it.
Last year we had 157 families as members in good standing, contributing a little over $35,000. As you can see, 138 have already pledged $59,000 and the actual amount received $54,000, exceeded all of 2008.
The total potential families is approximately 240. Meaning their are another 90+ families living in our area, who have attended our Church over the past several years.
As you can see, our Church and our Community needs your participation. Only by working together as a team, focused on doing God’s work, and with God’s help, will we succeed.
The community will publicly like to thank all those parishioners who have pledge their time, talents and treasures to assist their Saint Nicholas Church, here in Newburgh, NY.
It has taken us a little time to compile all the information that was provided via the pledge forms.
In addition to the list of Stewards, next month we will also be publishing the list show who has graciously volunteered their time and talents to help/assist their St. Nicholas Church.
